Tasting this oyster is about taking a journey for the palette, from Normandy’s Utah Beach through to Spain, Portugal and Ireland. It is about taking the time to discover the unique flavour that these oysters acquire from each of their native terroirs in the four long years before their harvest. This adventurous variety is the older sister of the “Spéciale” oyster. Grown exclusively at sea, it is particularly round and fleschy and never fails to surprise thanks to its ever-unique and sometimes unexpected flavours. The Royale oysters bring colour and life to any meal and are always a hit with connoisseurs.
How to enjoy? Its generous-sized shell inspires us to cook it and enjoy it warm. When prepared raw, its delicious flavours will also complement any sophisticated dining occasion.
