How to Cook Lamb Chops
One great advantage of choosing lamb chops for your Eid Al Adha dinner is that they are incredibly quick and easy to cook.
Just pan-sear them in a cast-iron skillet over a high heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side, remove when they develop a golden-brown crust, and leave them to rest briefly before serving.
You can also BBQ lamb chops. Just make sure you cover any exposed ends of bone with aluminum foil to keep them from burning, and again cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
Lamb Chop Recipes to Try This Eid al-Adha
Lamb chops are one of those fail-safe staples that every family member is sure to love. Ideal for sharing, below are three of the many delicious spice and seasoning combinations that you can sample this holiday.
1. Garlic, Vinegar and Black Pepper Lamb Chops
Sometimes, the best recipes are the simplest ones. One of our favourite ways to cook lamb chops is to marinade them in a mixture of vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and olive oil. Just mix the ingredients in a resealable bag, pop the lamb chops in and make sure they are evenly coated in the mixture, and leave them to soak for at least two hours before cooking.
To serve, dish them up with a fresh salad. The crunch of the raw vegetables contrasts wonderfully with the rich meat of the lamb chops.
2. Zaatar Lamb Chops
Adding an extra Middle Eastern twist to your celebrations, zaatar lamb chops are sure to be an instant hit with all your dinner guests.
Try pairing them with crispy roast potatoes or homemade flatbreads, served still warm from the oven.
3. Lamb Chops With Rosemary Gravy
A recipe that combines the wholesome family vibes of a Sunday roast with the joyous celebrations of Eid Al Adha, rosemary lamb chops with gravy is the ultimate comfort food.
To showcase the rich flavours of the lamb chops, all you need to do is marinate the lamb chops in a mix of rosemary, garlic, salt, and olive oil for between 1 to 3 hours, cook them on a hot skillet, and then serve with thick lashings of gravy made from beef stock, rosemary, and flour.
A side of mashed potato is sure to further delight everyone gathered around your dinner table, while adding a plate of your choice of vegetable adds an extra dose of vitamins to your feast, too.
